Scientific research

Parvathi Rangasamy giving lecture in Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, 26 May 2010

Dr. Parvathi Rangasamy's research areas of interest are:

In her Ph.D. dissertation she has achieved the following research contributions:

  • Many new operators over intuitionistic fuzzy sets of second type (IFSsST) are defined.
  • Properties of the newly defined operators are derived.
  • A digital image is represented in the matrix form. This image is intuitionistically fuzzified; membership and non-membership values are modified and intuitionistically defuzzified. An algorithm is developed using C++ language.
  • The algorithm of enhancing an image using MATLAB is developed. This development helps to exhibit the significant role of the contrast intensification operator on fuzzy sets, IFSs and IFSsST in image processing. The algorithm is checked with various input images.
