Abstract: Quality of an image should be improved to support the human perception in image processing applications. The aim of contrast enhancement is to process a given image so that the result is more suitable than the original for pattern recognition. In this paper, a method for image enhancement based on the contrast intensification operator on first and second type Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFSs) is established.
Keywords: Image enhancement, Contrast intensification, first and second type IFSs
