Abstract: In this paper we introduce two classes of metrics for spaces of intuitionistic fuzzy sets IFn. The spaces shown to be complete. We use the support function to embed the metric space (IFn, dp) into Banach space, and we give a sufficient and necessary condition for characterization of compacts and locally compact subsets of space IFn.
Keywords: Intuitionistic fuzzy sets, support function, compact, locally compact.
AMS Classification: 03E72
