In the frames of the project, we will work on several themes related to processes with fixed development rules, such as genetic algorithms, ant colony optimization, genetic networks and modifications of the Conway's Game of Life, etc. These are methods for finding approximate solutions to difficult problems from real life and practice, for which it is important to timely find a solution, with eventual trade-off of accuracy. These features are of crucial importance when it comes to management of dynamic processes.
For modelling purposes, the apparatus of the generalized nets will be utilized. This is a definitely novel approach to the field. Thus we can follow in details the processes and interactions between them, which will enable us to avoid some of the current disadvantages and achieve better results.
A major objective of the project is development of new improved methods using generalized nets, and applying them to real life problems: economics, telecommunications, biology, wildland fires, etc. Thus we will contribute to the solving major economic and social problems, as well as to the development of the respective research branch.
