Issues in the Representation and Processing of Uncertain and Imprecise Information is a book of the series "Challenging Problems of Science" of the Polish academic publishing house "EXIT". It is published in 2005 under ISBN 83-60434-01-8. The papers presented in this volume constitute a collection of contributions, both of foundational and applied type, by both well-known experts and young researchers in various fields of broadly perceived intelligent systems. It may be viewed as a result of fruitful discussions held during the Fifth International Workshop on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets and Generalized Nets organized in Warsaw, Poland in September 2005 by the Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences, Centre of Biomedical Engineering, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Warsaw School of Information Technology. Editors of the book are Krassimir Atanassov, Janusz Kacprzyk, Maciej Krawczak and Eulalia Szmidt.
