Book "Generalized Net Models of the Human Body" by Krassimir Atanassov, Anthony Shannon, Vihren Chakarov and Joseph Sorsich was released out of press on 5 November 2008. The book contains a series of generalized nets models which can be used for simulation of various processes and situations in the human body with the aim of using the information obtained in the process of medical diagnosis and research, and for the training and examination of students.

- Seventh International Workshop on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets and Generalized Nets
IWIFSGN'2008, similarly as its predecessors, mainly focused on the new developments in foundations and applications of intuitionistic fuzzy sets and generalized nets. The workshop was held on October 17, 2008 in Warsaw, Poland, at the Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences. The Workshop included plenary talks by leading experts in the fields, and technical contributions.
During the workshop, Ifigenia.org was officially presented and launched.
