On 16 October 2009, in Warsaw, Poland, the Eighth International Workshop on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets and Generalized Nets (IWIFSGN'2009) to be held on annual basis in Warsaw, Poland.
Similarly to its predecessors it will mainly focus on new developments in foundations and applications of intuitionistic fuzzy sets and generalized nets. However, other topics related to broadly perceived representation and processing of uncertain and imprecise information and knowledge, and intelligent systems will be discussed, too.

Two projects proposals concerning generalized nets were today handed at the Bulgarian National Science Fund. One of them, called Software Implementation of Generalized Nets in Intelligent Systems (SIGNIS), involved 40 participants from 7 partnering institutions and 3 foreign associated partners and applied for funding totaling to EUR 280 000 for a three year period. The proposal was elaborated on the pages of Ifigenia. The other project proposal involved 10 participants from 3 partnering institutions and applied for funding of EUR 120 000 for a three year period.
Results of both project proposals are expected to be announced in the end of October 2009.

On May 9—10, 2009, the 13th International Conference on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria. The aim of this meeting is to gather specialists interested in intuitionistic fuzziness and to give them floor for discussions on theoretical and practical aspects of this relatively new area of fuzzy set theory. All papers accepted for presentation at ICIFS'2009 will be included in a special issue of the journal "Notes on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets". The special issue will be available at the registration.

On August 20-24, 2009, the 2009 FUZZ-IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems will take place in Jeju Island, Korea. We intend to submit a proposal for a Special Session on "Atanassov's Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets: Recent Advances" as part of the Conference. Therefore, given your expertise in this area and its applications, you are kindly invited to express you interest in participating in this special session, by sending a preliminary title of your work before 1 December 2008, which will be used for filling in our proposal for the Special Session.

Book "Generalized Net Models of the Human Body" by Krassimir Atanassov, Anthony Shannon, Vihren Chakarov and Joseph Sorsich was released out of press on 5 November 2008. The book contains a series of generalized nets models which can be used for simulation of various processes and situations in the human body with the aim of using the information obtained in the process of medical diagnosis and research, and for the training and examination of students.

- Seventh International Workshop on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets and Generalized Nets
IWIFSGN'2008, similarly as its predecessors, mainly focused on the new developments in foundations and applications of intuitionistic fuzzy sets and generalized nets. The workshop was held on October 17, 2008 in Warsaw, Poland, at the Systems Research Institute, Polish Academy of Sciences. The Workshop included plenary talks by leading experts in the fields, and technical contributions.
During the workshop, Ifigenia.org was officially presented and launched.

Due to the current low users' activity on Ifigenia, change is made in the registration scheme. Registration is now open, no need to ask for admin help. Please, create your user account with your User name = Personal Name (have in mind that wiki is case-sensitive!)
In the meanwhile, Ifigenia rankings improve over time. As of today, Google ranks the site on 1st place by search term ifigenia, on 75th place by search term generalized nets and on 149th place by search term intuitionistic fuzzy sets. We score well and we'll be better!

- The first pages in the Issue: namespace were proudly created: Issue:On some intuitionistic fuzzy negations and Issue:Intuitionistic fuzzy sets and interval valued fuzzy sets., providing detailed bibliographic information, wiki-linked abstract and keywords, references and citation data. Read more about the utilized Template:Issue.
