Abstract:
|
The aim of the present paper is to construct a Generalized Net (GN, [1,2]) describing the process of machine learning. The task for developing such a model is formulated at the "Session of the Mathematical Foundations of Artificial Intelligence*' seminar in 1991 (published in [3]), as a part of the idea that different areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) should be described with a uniform formalism. The acceptance of such a universal description tool would make it possible to exchange ideas among the different areas, and to concentrate the efforts for solving common problems.
