On May 9—10, 2009, the 12th International Conference on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets will take place in Sofia, Bulgaria. The aim of this meeting is to gather specialists interested in intuitionistic fuzziness and to give them floor for discussions on theoretical and practical aspects of this relatively new area of fuzzy set theory. All papers accepted for presentation at ICIFS'2009 will be included in a special issue of the journal "Notes on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets". The special issue will be available at the registration.

On August 20-24, 2009, the 2009 FUZZ-IEEE International Conference on Fuzzy Systems will take place in Jeju Island, Korea. We intend to submit a proposal for a Special Session on "Atanassov's Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets: Recent Advances" as part of the Conference. Therefore, given your expertise in this area and its applications, you are kindly invited to express you interest in participating in this special session, by sending a preliminary title of your work before 1 December 2008, which will be used for filling in our proposal for the Special Session.
