The three-year bilateral project "Design and Development of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Logic Tools in Information Technologies" between Centre of Biomedical Engineeering, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and Vellalar College for Women, was approved and funded. The project is focused on:
* Research of the properties of IFS of second and n-th type.
* Research of implications and negations.
* Development of software for checking the properties of IF implications and negations.
* Applications of IFS in the field of pattern recognition.
* Elaboration of a methodology for teaching IFS and development of learning content.
* Provision of access to publications on IFS, writing Ifigenia articles in the area of IFS.
The project implementation can be traced from [[Ifigenia:Design and Development of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Logic Tools in Information Technologies|its page in Ifigenia]].

Springer released the book "Index Matrices: Towards an Augmented Matrix Calculus" by Krassimir Atanassov. This is the first monograph that presents the very concept of an index matrix and its related augmented matrix calculus in a comprehensive form.

It mostly illustrates the exposition with examples related to the generalized nets and intuitionistic fuzzy sets which are examples of an extremely wide array of possible application areas. The present book contains the basic results of the author over index matrices and some of its open problems with the aim to stimulating more researchers to start working in this area.
