An intuitionistic &amp;#039;&amp;#039;L&amp;#039;&amp;#039;-fuzzy submodule (ILFSM) &amp;#039;&amp;#039;C&amp;#039;&amp;#039; of an intuitionistic &amp;#039;&amp;#039;L&amp;#039;&amp;#039;-fuzzy module &amp;#039;&amp;#039;A&amp;#039;&amp;#039; of &amp;#039;&amp;#039;R&amp;#039;&amp;#039;-module &amp;#039;&amp;#039;M&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, is called an intuitionistic &amp;#039;&amp;#039;L&amp;#039;&amp;#039;-fuzzy essential submodule in &amp;#039;&amp;#039;A&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, if &amp;#039;&amp;#039;C&amp;#039;&amp;#039; ∩ &amp;#039;&amp;#039;B&amp;#039;&amp;#039; ≠ &amp;#039;&amp;#039;χ&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;lt;sub&amp;gt;{&amp;#039;&amp;#039;θ&amp;#039;&amp;#039;}&amp;lt;/sub&amp;gt; for any non-trivial ILFSM &amp;#039;&amp;#039;B&amp;#039;&amp;#039; of &amp;#039;&amp;#039;A&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. In this case we say that &amp;#039;&amp;#039;A&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is an essential extension of &amp;#039;&amp;#039;C&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. Also, if &amp;#039;&amp;#039;C&amp;#039;&amp;#039; has no proper essential extension in &amp;#039;&amp;#039;A&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, then &amp;#039;&amp;#039;C&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is called an intuitionistic &amp;#039;&amp;#039;L&amp;#039;&amp;#039;-fuzzy closed submodule in &amp;#039;&amp;#039;A&amp;#039;&amp;#039;. Further, for ILFSMs &amp;#039;&amp;#039;B, C&amp;#039;&amp;#039; of &amp;#039;&amp;#039;A&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, &amp;#039;&amp;#039;C&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is called complement of &amp;#039;&amp;#039;B&amp;#039;&amp;#039; in &amp;#039;&amp;#039;A&amp;#039;&amp;#039; if &amp;#039;&amp;#039;C&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is maximal with the property that &amp;#039;&amp;#039;B&amp;#039;&amp;#039; ∩ &amp;#039;&amp;#039;C&amp;#039;&amp;#039; = &amp;#039;&amp;#039;χ&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;lt;sub&amp;gt;{&amp;#039;&amp;#039;θ&amp;#039;&amp;#039;}&amp;lt;/sub&amp;gt;. We study these mentioned notations which are generalization of the notions of essential submodule, closed submodule and complement of a submodule in the intuitionistic &amp;#039;&amp;#039;L&amp;#039;&amp;#039;-fuzzy module theory. We prove many basic properties of both these concepts.&lt;br /&gt;
