Abstract: With the present brief review of the research on Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets (IFSs) the author would like to describe the basic steps of the development of the concept IFS in a historical aspect and to cite the results of all specialists he knows worldwide who believed in the IFS and started to work in the area.
